Update on Jasmine....

Many of you have been asking how our Jasmine was doing. For those of you who don't know who I am talking about Jasmine is a sweet girl who graduated from our high school last year inspite of having colon cancer that had invaded her body. Jasmine is a real fighter along with her single mom and siblings. Always Crafty2 along with Sassy Soaps N Such has been donating all our profits to her fund since April 07. We wanted to give a little back to a family who was struggling to live day to day. Mom had to work to put food on the table but she also has a terminally ill child and other healthy ones at home.

Here is a blessed update:
"We had a very honored guest at W. T. White today. Jasmin came to school today to visit with her friends and teachers. I am sure many students, faculty and administrators saw her in the halls today. She is looking very good. I can’t tell you how pleased I was to look up and see her standing in my office. Many of you in the W. T. White neighborhood and community always ask me if I have heard anything from her. Well, today I got to see her with my own eyes. She was up and walking around and still has a wonderful smile and beautiful eyes. She says she is feeling pretty good. She walks around her neighborhood with her mom every day to get a little exercise. Her mom has returned to work. She said she had a pretty good summer and got to see the ocean for the first time. This young woman has amazing courage and strength and I am so proud to be her friend. We must all keep her and her family in our prayers, they seem to be working so far. "

I ask that each of you continue to keep Jasmine in your thoughts and prayers.
This child is an amazing example of what pray and faith can do.
She has united our school and community not only in raising funds for her family but in awareness of this disease. She has taught everyone that if the SCHOOL and COMMUNITY will work as a FAMILY we CAN help others.

If you would like to help her family you stil can and if contributors would like to have a tax deductible receipt for their donations, please feel free to send monetary donations to W. T. White and they will give you a receipt. Checks need to be made out to W. T. White Jasmin Soriano Fund. The address at the school is:W T White High School4505 Ridgeside Dr. Dallas, TX 75244.

Thanks to all of you who have helped out either by sending funds or by purchasing items in our shoppes since that money went to the family.
Keep those prayers coming....

This is the first I've heard of jasmine but my prayers are with her. We have a 4th grader in our school that has a brain tumor. She suffered a stroke in school last year (she's in the same grade as my youngest son) and we happened to be driving past the school when the ambulance pulled in. Most of last school year was spent on tons of fund raisers for little Connor. She is back at school this year, though now she is in a wheelchair. I will definitely have her in my thoughts.

Thanks so much! We can use all the prayers we can get. We've added Connor to our prayer list too.
