Gun Show, Fudge and Shweet Potato Dolls

I Know you are thinking Sandi has lost her mind! Those 3 things don't go together! But in MY WORLD they do. Today Marty took me to my first and not last GUN SHOW! It was awesome! There were all kinds of rifles and guns, bows and knives, jewerly and baked goodies and best of all the most AWESOME FUDGE i have ever eaten.
YEP FUDGE! Brought me some home. I have to go and check out her website but you can find her at http://www.thefudgeladyinamarillo.com/. She is just putting her site together but man oh man is her fudge good. Next on my TO DO LIST is going to the shooting range and firing off a round or two.

Now bet you are wondering Shweet Potato Dolls??? I am a member of a online family of artist who like to do challenges every now and then. So we all decided it would be fun to create some dolls using graphics by one of our dear friends Carm with Shweet Potato Designs. You can check out her graphics at http://www.shweetpotatodesigns.com/ and come over and join our Ol Country Home family at http://olcountryhome.freeforums.org/index.php. Just tell Diana... Sandi sent ya.

I Love Carm's graohics and I have decided that when I make one into a doll, I will also make it into a pattern. So next week this creation will be a pattern .

Been a Busy Week

Well it sure has been a busy week at my house. We started the week with Kassy's 18th Birthday, Tuesday was a Historical day in America and I stayed glued to the tv all day watching the events. Of course I was sewing while watching. Friday I spent the afternoon in the hospital having all kinds of "fun" tests run. Got some good news and some not so good news. No signs of cancer but I do have an ulcer. Hope to get more news in 2 weeks when the biposy results come in. This week I get to visit a new Neuro doctor so Think about me on Tuesday.

While I have been sitting here in the apartment I had fun making up some new dolls. One of the dolls is made from a pattern by Patti's Ratties, The little Irish Monkey turned out cute.
Then i decided to make up some of my own so I made a cute little kitty and couple Cupids for Valentine's Day. Last I decided to make a Spring Bunny. You can check them out below...I have not decided where to list them yet...ebay...etsy... Country Fried Primitives...BUT REMEMBER they are for ages 13 and OVER.

I really like Melly and Me patterns so much I ordered 3 more for myself. I made up another of the big 23" monkey. This one is an Irish Monkey but i think he needs a hat... What do you think?

This week I need to work on my FOCD Penny Challenge Doll. This is the first time I have made a doll of this type and I have to do a whole lot of reading before I start on her. MAN she has a whole lot of parts!

Well time for me to go and rest so I better head off to the recliner now. Good thing my wonderful hubby set up my sewing machine close to my recliner. I can relax and sew to my hearts content!

Til tomorrow....
Lots of hugs

Oh in need of my camera

Today was SOAP DAY! Had to make up some soaps for a client and so decided it was time to create some new fun soaps for Fall!

OH I had so much fun. Made some Vanilla Smootie Glycerin leaves and pumpkins with silk leaves inside them. I made some chocolate Turkey Soaps. And there it was, all nicely displayed in a basket and BAM.... I realized my camera is on an airplane somewhere between Green Bay and Dallas. Yep! The lucky hubby was in Green Bay last night to watch the Cowboys win and he took the camera so I could see what I missed! So now I have to wait to show you what I made today.

So I'm thinking I can show you some soaps I did NOT make today but I do have them for sale in my etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5155740 and also our website Sassy Soaps N Such http://www.sassysoapsnsuch.com
