Good Eats for the Holidays

My baby brother called the other night, he wanted to know how to make some of the Christmas Cookies our mom and grandma puckett used to make. So that got me going through the recipe box. Thought I would share one of my favorites off all times with you. Might even make them for our Evie Party on December 23.

Apricot Balls
1 pound of dried ground apricots
1 lemon
1 orange
(lemon and orange ground peek and all)
2 cups sugar
1 Cup chopped pecans
1 box powered Sugar
(Lemon wedges to garnish the dish once complete)

Cook the ground apricots, lemon and oranges along with 2 cups sugar together for 15 minutes.Stirring all the time. Add one cup chopped pecans, stir and set aside to cool.
When the mixture is cool roll into balls the size of marbles. You will want to dip and cover each "ball" in powdered sugar. Place into tightly covered bowls or dishes.

If you like to bake or cook during the holidays make sure to check out my etsy group. T2T Team on etsy... http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_type=tag_title&search_query=t2t+team+pif

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
